Cajun Chicken Alfredo Wraps with Garlic Butter Parmesan (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

For the Cajun Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg

For the Garlic Butter Parmesan Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

  • Optional: fresh spinach or arugula for added greens


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cajun Chicken:

  • Slice chicken breasts into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.

  • In a bowl, toss chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred. Remove from skillet and set aside.

2. Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter.

  • Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.

  • Slowly add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).

  • Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if desired.

  • Return cooked Cajun chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the Alfredo sauce.

3. Prepare the Garlic Butter Parmesan Wraps:

  • In a small pan, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Brush the garlic butter mixture on one side of each tortilla.

  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered side.

4. Assemble the Wraps:

  • Lay the tortillas buttered side down on a clean surface.

  • Spoon the Cajun chicken Alfredo mixture evenly onto the center of each tortilla.

  • Add fresh spinach or arugula if using.

  • Fold in the sides and roll tightly to form wraps.

5. Final Touch (Optional):

  • To get a crispy wrap, heat a clean skillet over medium heat.

  • Place each wrap seam side down and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crisp.

  • Flip and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.

6. Serve:

  • Slice wraps in half and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

  • Serve immediately while warm and creamy.
