Here’s a  Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Shrimp recipe that’s quick, flavorful, and perfect for a weeknight meal or appetizer. The shrimp come out juicy and flavorful with a crispy garlic-Parmesan coating.


🦐 Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Recipe

📋 Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese (fresh is best)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Optional Breading (for extra crispiness):

  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter


🔧 Tools Needed:

  • Air fryer

  • Mixing bowl

  • Tongs or spatula


🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Prep the Shrimp

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

Step 2: Add Parmesan (and optional breading)

  1. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and toss to coat.

  2. (Optional) For a crispy texture, mix panko with melted butter in a separate bowl, then lightly coat each shrimp in the panko mixture after the Parmesan.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.

Step 4: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil or use parchment paper with holes.

  2. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches).

  3. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through. Shrimp should be opaque and lightly golden.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Transfer shrimp to a serving plate.

  2. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and squeeze lemon over the top.

  3. Serve hot with a dipping sauce or over pasta, rice, salad, or in tacos!

  • Over creamy risotto

  • As a taco filling with slaw and avocado

  • On skewers as an appetizer


🔁 Storage & Reheating:

  • Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

  • Reheat: Air fry for 2–3 minutes at 350°F or warm in a skillet.
