Cool Whip and Pudding Frosting

Cool Whip and pudding frosting is a super easy, fluffy, and delicious frosting that’s perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and even as a dip for fruit or cookies. Here’s a basic and customizable recipe:


Cool Whip and Pudding Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant pudding mix (vanilla, chocolate, cheesecake, etc.)

  • 1 cup cold milk

  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed

  • Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or other flavorings

Instructions:

  1. Whisk pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl for about 2 minutes until it starts to thicken.

  2. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes to firm up slightly.

  3. Fold in Cool Whip gently until fully combined. Don’t overmix — keep it light and fluffy.

  4. Use immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 days. It will firm up slightly in the fridge.


Flavor Variations:

  • Chocolate Frosting: Use chocolate pudding.

  • Lemon Frosting: Use lemon pudding and add lemon zest.

  • Cheesecake Frosting: Use cheesecake pudding with a splash of almond extract.

  • Cookies & Cream: Use vanilla pudding, fold in crushed Oreos.
