Tomato Basil Garlic Bread

Here’s a delicious Tomato Basil Garlic Bread recipe — perfect as a side, appetizer, or snack!


🍅 Tomato Basil Garlic Bread

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread, halved lengthwise

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved or diced (or 1 medium tomato, chopped)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (optional for a cheesy version)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

  • Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prepare the garlic oil:
    In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant (don’t brown it). Remove from heat.

  3. Prep the bread:
    Place bread halves on a baking sheet, cut-side up. Brush the garlic olive oil evenly over the cut sides.

  4. Add toppings:

    • Distribute chopped tomatoes evenly over the bread.

    • Season with salt and pepper.

    • Sprinkle mozzarella (if using), then Parmesan on top.

  5. Bake:
    Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the edges are golden and crisp.

  6. Finish:
    Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.

  7. Serve:
    Slice and serve warm!
