Here’s a delicious recipe for Double Chocolate Banana Bread that’s rich, moist, and perfect for any chocolate lover!
Ingredients:
-
2 ripe bananas (mashed)
-
2 eggs
-
1/3 cup melted butter
-
1/2 cup brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
-
1 tsp baking soda
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips (or more semi-sweet, if preferred)
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. You should have about 1 cup of mashed bananas.
-
Add the eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract to the bananas and mix well until combined.
-
In another bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
-
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Don’t overmix!
-
Fold in the chocolate chips (semi-sweet and milk chocolate) until evenly distributed.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly.
-
Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover it loosely with foil and continue baking.
-
Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
