Here’s a flavorful and easy Garlic Shrimp Broccoli Pasta Bowl recipe that combines savory shrimp, fresh broccoli, and a garlicky olive oil sauce over pasta. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a healthy meal prep option.

Garlic Shrimp Broccoli Pasta Bowl

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 8 oz pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or spaghetti work great)

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Grated Parmesan, for topping (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta

    • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.

  2. Steam or Blanch Broccoli

    • Add broccoli to the pasta water for the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, or steam separately until tender-crisp.

  3. Sauté Shrimp

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

    • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  4. Combine & Finish

    • To the same skillet, add butter (if using) and a splash of pasta water.

    • Add cooked pasta, broccoli, and shrimp back in.

    • Toss everything together over medium heat. Add lemon juice and adjust seasoning.
