Chicken Noodle Casserole

Here’s a tasty Chicken Noodle Casserole recipe for you! It’s comforting, creamy, and perfect for a family dinner.


Chicken Noodle Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

  • 8 oz egg noodles (about 4 cups cooked)

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)

  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers or breadcrumbs for topping

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for topping)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  4. Add cooked chicken, cooked noodles, chopped onion, peas, and carrots (if using), and half of the shredded cheese. Mix until everything is evenly coated.

  5. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

  7. Mix melted butter with crushed crackers or breadcrumbs, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole.

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

  9. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
