Here’s a quick and easy Garlic Butter Shrimp recipe that’s full of flavor and perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion:

🧄 Garlic Butter Shrimp

🕒 Ready in: 15–20 minutes

Serves: 2–4

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

🔥 Instructions:

  1. Prep the shrimp:

    • Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the garlic:

    • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

    • Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant — don’t let it burn.

  3. Sauté the shrimp:

    • Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes on one side, flip, and cook 1–2 minutes on the other until shrimp are pink and opaque.

  4. Add butter and finish:

    • Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice. Stir to coat the shrimp in the sauce.

    • Remove from heat. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

  5. Serve:

    • Serve immediately with crusty bread, pasta, rice, or over a salad. Add lemon wedges on the side.

🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Over linguine with grated Parmesan.

  • On top of garlic rice or mashed potatoes.

  • As a taco filling with avocado and slaw.

  • With a glass of chilled white wine or sparkling water with lemon.
