Creamy Cajun Steak Penne with Garlic & Parmesan

Here’s a delicious Creamy Cajun Steak Penne with Garlic & Parmesan recipe for you to try! It’s rich, flavorful, and perfect for a satisfying dinner.


Ingredients

For the steak:

  • 1 lb (450g) steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice), thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the pasta:

  • 12 oz (340g) penne pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced (optional)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or beef broth)

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta:
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Prepare the steak:
    Toss the sliced steak with Cajun seasoning until well coated.
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until just cooked through. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.

  3. Make the sauce:
    In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter.
    Add minced garlic and chopped onion; sauté until fragrant and softened (about 2-3 minutes).
    If using, add sliced red bell pepper and cook for another 3 minutes.

  4. Add liquids:
    Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. Add cheese:
    Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Combine:
    Add the cooked penne and steak slices back to the skillet. Toss everything together gently to coat with the creamy sauce.

  7. Serve:
    Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil if desired. Serve hot with extra Parmesan on the side.
