Jarlsberg Cheese Dip

Here’s a delicious and easy Jarlsberg Cheese Dip recipe — perfect for parties or snacking!


🧀 Classic Jarlsberg Cheese Dip

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Jarlsberg cheese, shredded

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (preferably full-fat)

  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion (or green onions)

  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • Pinch of salt (optional – cheese and mayo are salty)

  • Optional mix-ins:

    • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

    • 1–2 dashes hot sauce

    • 2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley

    • Crumbled bacon on top


Instructions:

  1. Mix ingredients:
    In a bowl, combine shredded Jarlsberg cheese, mayonnaise, red onion, and any optional ingredients you’re using.

  2. Season:
    Add pepper (and a pinch of salt if needed). Stir until everything is well combined.

  3. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This allows the flavors to meld.

  4. Serve:
    Serve cold with crackers, crostini, pita chips, or fresh veggies. Also great as a sandwich spread!


🔥 Variation: Warm Jarlsberg Dip

To make a warm, melty version:

  • Place the mixed dip in an oven-safe dish.

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

  • Top with extra shredded cheese or breadcrumbs before baking for a crisp crust.
