Greek Chicken Meatballs with Tzatziki Sauce

Here’s a flavorful and healthy recipe for Greek Chicken Meatballs with Tzatziki Sauce—perfect for meal prep, entertaining, or a light dinner.


🧆 Greek Chicken Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken

  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb)

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1 egg

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 2 tbsp crumbled feta

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet on medium if pan-frying.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together all meatball ingredients (except olive oil) until just combined. Don’t overmix.

  3. Shape into 1½-inch balls (about 18–20 meatballs).

  4. To bake: Place on a lined baking sheet and bake 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
    <br>To pan-fry: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook meatballs 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.


🥒 Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)

  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Chill for 15–30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.


🥗 Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve in pita bread with lettuce, tomato, and red onion

  • Over a Greek salad

  • With rice or couscous and roasted veggies

  • As an appetizer with toothpicks and extra tzatziki
