Homemade Salsa is better than any restaurant

Here’s a simple and tasty homemade salsa recipe you can whip up in no time!


Homemade Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes (medium-sized)

  • 1 small onion (white or red), finely chopped

  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers (adjust based on heat preference), seeded and finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • Salt to taste

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon ground cumin or smoked paprika for extra flavor


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the tomatoes:

    • For a smoother salsa, you can roast or grill the tomatoes briefly to add a smoky flavor. Or use them raw for a fresher taste.

    • Chop the tomatoes finely or pulse a few times in a food processor for a chunkier consistency.

  2. Mix all ingredients:

    • In a bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, garlic, and cilantro.

    • Add lime juice and salt, then stir everything well.

  3. Adjust seasoning:

    • Taste and add more salt or lime juice if needed.

    • If you want, stir in cumin or smoked paprika for a smoky, earthy note.

  4. Chill & serve:

    • Let the salsa chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld together.

    • Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, grilled meats, or as a fresh topping for anything.
