Here’s a delicious and easy Sausage & Hash Brown Balls recipe – perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even game day appetizers!


🧆 Sausage & Hash Brown Balls Recipe

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

  • 3 cups frozen hash browns (shredded), thawed and patted dry

  • 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour or biscuit mix (e.g., Bisquick)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Optional: chopped chives or green onions for garnish


🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Mix Ingredients
    In a large bowl, combine:

    • Uncooked sausage

    • Hash browns (thawed and squeezed dry)

    • Cheddar cheese

    • Cream cheese

    • Flour (or biscuit mix)

    • Garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper

    Mix everything thoroughly with your hands or a sturdy spoon until evenly combined.

  3. Form Balls
    Roll the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch balls (about the size of a golf ball). Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.

  4. Bake
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and the sausage is fully cooked (internal temp should reach 160°F/71°C).

  5. Serve
    Let them cool slightly. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce — options include ranch, spicy mayo, honey mustard, or even ketchup!


🔁 Variations:

  • Spicy version: Use hot sausage or add a dash of hot sauce or crushed red pepper.

  • Low-carb: Skip the flour or use almond flour.

  • Veggie add-ins: Minced bell pepper, jalapeño, or cooked spinach.
