Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Cheesy Twisted Pasta

Here’s a delicious and indulgent Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Cheesy Twisted Pasta recipe that’s sure to impress. It combines tender chicken in a rich garlic parmesan sauce with cheesy twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli works great!).


🧄🍗 Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Cheesy Twisted Pasta

🔸 Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 chicken thighs)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup chicken broth (or water + bouillon)

  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

For the Cheesy Twisted Pasta:

  • 8 oz (about 2½ cups) rotini or fusilli pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan

  • Salt, to taste


🔸 Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook twisted pasta according to package directions until al dente.

  • Drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water.

2. Prepare the Chicken:

  • Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise for thinner cutlets. Season both sides with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.

  • Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant (do not burn).

  • Pour in chicken broth and deglaze the pan.

  • Add heavy cream and bring to a low simmer.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened slightly.

4. Cheesy Pasta Sauce:

  • In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over low heat.

  • Add milk and stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

  • Add cooked pasta and mix until fully coated. Use a splash of reserved pasta water if it needs loosening.

5. Combine & Serve:

  • Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.

  • Plate cheesy twisted pasta, top with sliced chicken, and drizzle extra garlic parmesan sauce.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and more grated Parmesan.


🔸 Optional Add-ons:

  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for some greens.

  • Swap chicken with shrimp or mushrooms for variation.
