Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Loaded Cheddar

Here’s a delicious Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Loaded Cheddar recipe! It’s a perfect blend of tender steak, savory garlic butter, and a cheesy, comforting topping. This recipe makes a great meal or appetizer.

Ingredients:

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized cubes)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

For the Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)

For the Loaded Cheddar:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or mild, depending on preference)

  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • 2 tbsp green onions (chopped, for garnish)

  • 1/4 cup crispy bacon bits (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Steak Bites:

  • Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized cubes. Pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure a good sear.

  • In a bowl, toss the steak cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes.

2. Cook the Steak Bites:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak cubes in a single layer.

  • Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side until they’re golden brown and cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  • Once cooked, transfer the steak bites to a plate and set aside.

3. Make the Garlic Butter:

  • In the same skillet (leave the drippings for extra flavor), melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not burnt.

  • Stir in the fresh parsley and thyme (if using).

4. Combine the Steak Bites & Garlic Butter:

  • Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter until they’re evenly coated.

  • Let them simmer for 2-3 more minutes so they soak up the buttery goodness.

5. Assemble the Loaded Cheddar:

  • While the steak bites are simmering in garlic butter, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the steak bites in the skillet.

  • Cover the skillet with a lid for 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and create a deliciously gooey topping.

6. Garnish & Serve:

  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and bacon bits (if using).

  • Serve hot, and optionally with sour cream for extra richness!

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce to the garlic butter for a deeper umami taste.

  • If you prefer a more “loaded” feel, serve the steak bites over mashed potatoes or with a side of crispy fries!
