Morning Lemon Water Detox

A Morning Lemon Water Detox is a refreshing and energizing way to start your day! It’s simple to make and packed with benefits like boosting your metabolism, aiding digestion, and helping to hydrate your body after a long night’s sleep. Here’s a basic recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 glass of warm water (about 8-12 oz)

  • Juice of ½ fresh lemon (or more, based on preference)

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey (raw, if possible) for sweetness

  • Optional: A pinch of cayenne pepper (to boost metabolism)

  • Optional: A few fresh mint leaves for added freshness

Instructions:

  1. Warm Water: Heat the water until it’s just warm to the touch, not boiling, as hot water can destroy some of the nutrients in the lemon.

  2. Lemon Juice: Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the warm water. You can use a lemon squeezer to get more juice out.

  3. Optional Add-Ins: If you’re using honey, cayenne, or mint, add those in now and stir to combine.

  4. Stir & Drink: Stir everything well and sip slowly.

Tips:

  • Drink this on an empty stomach for maximum detox benefits.

  • If you’re sensitive to citrus, start with just a little lemon juice and work your way up.

  • Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated!
