Here’s a simple and delicious Crockpot Chicken and Gravy recipe that’s perfect for an easy, comforting meal:


Crockpot Chicken and Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 (0.87 oz) packet chicken gravy mix (like McCormick)

  • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix (optional but adds great flavor)

  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Optional: 4 oz cream cheese or 1/2 cup sour cream (for a creamier gravy)


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Crockpot:

    • Lightly spray the inside with non-stick cooking spray or use a liner for easy cleanup.

  2. Mix the Gravy:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken soup, gravy mix, ranch seasoning (if using), chicken broth, garlic powder, and pepper.

  3. Add Chicken:

    • Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the crockpot. Pour the gravy mixture over the top to cover.

  4. Cook:

    • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.

  5. Shred and Stir:

    • Remove chicken, shred with two forks, then return to the crockpot. Stir to coat in the gravy.

    • Optional: Add cream cheese or sour cream at this stage for extra creaminess. Stir until melted and combined.

  6. Serve:

    • Spoon over mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or even biscuits.


Tips:

  • If the gravy is too thick, stir in a little more chicken broth or milk.

  • Add steamed peas or cooked mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
