Banana Lemon Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)

  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger (grated)

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt (optional for creaminess)

  • 1 cup water or coconut water (or almond milk for a richer taste)

  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness)

  • Ice cubes (optional, for chill)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Peel the banana and break it into chunks. Grate the ginger to release its juice.

  2. Blend: In a blender, add the banana, lemon juice, ginger, yogurt (if using), water or coconut water, and sweetener.

  3. Blend until smooth: Blend for 30 seconds or until everything is well combined and smooth.

  4. Adjust: Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding more honey or lemon if needed.

  5. Serve: Pour into a glass, add ice cubes if desired, and enjoy!
