Posted on June 11, 2025

Here’s a detailed Bride and Groom Cake recipe — a traditional, elegant cake often served at weddings or bridal showers. This version includes both the classic white cake (Bride’s Cake) and a rich chocolate cake (Groom’s Cake) to suit both tastes.

🎂 Bride and Groom Cake Recipes

1. Bride’s Cake (Classic White Cake with Vanilla Buttercream)

🧁 Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 2½ cups (300g) cake flour (sifted)

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1¾ cups (350g) granulated sugar

  • 4 large egg whites (room temperature)

  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk (room temperature)

For Vanilla Buttercream:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 cups (500g) powdered sugar, sifted

  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Make the Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans or line with parchment paper.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: Sift cake flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.

  3. Cream butter and sugar: Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

  4. Add egg whites one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  5. Add vanilla, then alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.

Make Buttercream:

  1. Beat butter until creamy (about 2 minutes).

  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating on low until incorporated.

  3. Add cream, vanilla, and salt. Beat on high for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.

  4. Frost cooled cake layers and stack.

  • 8 oz (225g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Make the Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round pans.
