GRILLED GARLIC CHICKEN WITH PEPPERS AND STEAM RICE

Here’s a Grilled Garlic Chicken with Peppers and Steamed Rice recipe that’s flavorful, balanced, and easy to prepare:


🌟 Grilled Garlic Chicken with Peppers and Steamed Rice

🍗 Ingredients:

For the Garlic Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Peppers:

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 small red onion, sliced (optional)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Steamed Rice:

  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice

  • 2 cups water

  • Pinch of salt


🔪 Instructions:

1. Marinate the Chicken (at least 30 min):

In a bowl, mix:

  • Minced garlic

  • Olive oil

  • Soy sauce

  • Lemon juice

  • Paprika (if using)

  • Salt and pepper

Add chicken to the bowl and coat well. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).

2. Cook the Rice:

  • Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

  • In a pot, bring 2 cups water to a boil with a pinch of salt.

  • Add rice, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes (or until tender).

  • Turn off heat and let it steam covered for another 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.

3. Grill the Chicken:

  • Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  • Grill chicken for about 6–7 minutes per side (until fully cooked and nicely charred).

  • Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

4. Sauté the Peppers:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add sliced peppers and onion.

  • Season with salt and pepper.

  • Sauté for 5–7 minutes until slightly charred and softened.


🍽️ To Serve:

  • Place a bed of steamed rice on a plate.

  • Add sliced grilled garlic chicken on top.

  • Spoon sautéed peppers over the chicken.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) and a wedge of lemon if desired.
