Gotcha! Here are two crazy good dough recipes — one for pizza and one for cinnamon rolls. Both are super tasty and fairly straightforward. Ready to get doughy?


Crazy Easy Pizza Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.

  3. Make a well in the flour and pour in yeast mixture and olive oil.

  4. Mix until dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 7-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap.

  6. Let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until it doubles in size.

  7. Punch down the dough, shape it, and you’re ready to top and bake your pizza!

Pro tip: Bake pizza at the highest oven temp (450-500°F / 230-260°C) for a crispy crust.


Crazy Soft Cinnamon Roll Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let sit 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. In a large bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs.

  3. Add yeast mixture to the bowl.

  4. Gradually add flour, mixing until dough starts to pull away from sides.

  5. Knead dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  6. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled.

  7. Roll dough out into a rectangle (about 16×12 inches).

  8. Spread softened butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.

  9. Roll tightly, cut into rolls (~12 pieces), place in a greased pan.

  10. Let rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes.

  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.

For the icing: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract and drizzle on warm rolls.
