Ingredients

For the Meat Layer:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 tbsp flour

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Other:

  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

  • Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

1. Cook the Meat

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  • In the same pan, cook ground beef and onions until browned. Drain excess grease.

  • Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and the cooked bacon back in. Stir well and set aside.

2. Make the Cheese Sauce

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  • Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened (about 5 minutes).

  • Stir in cheddar cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and cheesy.

3. Assemble the Lasagna

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a 9×13 baking dish, spread a small amount of cheese sauce.

  • Layer: 3 noodles → ⅓ of the meat mixture → cheese sauce.

  • Repeat layers (noodles, meat, sauce) until all used. Top with remaining noodles, pour remaining cheese sauce over top.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top.

4. Bake

  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

  • Uncover and bake another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.

5. Garnish & Serve

  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

  • Top with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.


Optional Additions

  • Pickles: Add chopped pickles between layers for a cheeseburger vibe.

  • Tomato slices: Layer in some thinly sliced tomatoes.

  • Spicy kick: Add jalapeños or hot sauce to the meat layer.
