🍰 Basic Pound Cake Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs (room temperature)

2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

1/2 tsp baking powder (optional, for a lighter texture)

2–3 tbsp milk or cream (optional, for moisture)
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a loaf or bundt pan.

Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 4–5 minutes).

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Mix in vanilla extract, if using.

Sift flour with salt (and baking powder, if using). Add to the batter in batches, mixing just until combined.
