🥘 Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.

    • Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

  2. Sear the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

    • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Make the Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

    • Add honey and chicken broth, stirring to combine.

    • Let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Add Cream and Cheese:

    • Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese.

    • Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy (about 3–4 minutes).

  5. Combine Chicken and Sauce:

    • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.

    • Spoon the creamy sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated.

    • Simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  6. Garnish and Serve:

    • Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.

    • Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
