Here’s a simple and delicious Egg Salad Sandwich recipe:


🥪 Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients (for 2 sandwiches):

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2–3 tbsp mayonnaise (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for a little tang)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • A pinch of paprika or cayenne (optional)

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped chives or green onions (optional)

  • 4 slices of sandwich bread (white, whole wheat, rye—your choice)

  • Lettuce leaves (optional)

  • Sliced tomato or cucumber (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Boil the eggs:
    Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover, turn off the heat, and let sit for 10–12 minutes. Then, cool in ice water and peel.

  2. Chop the eggs:
    Dice the peeled eggs into small pieces.

  3. Mix the salad:
    In a bowl, combine the chopped eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and any optional add-ins like paprika or chives. Mix until creamy but still chunky.

  4. Assemble the sandwich:
    Toast your bread if desired. Spread egg salad on one slice, top with lettuce or tomato if using, then close with the other slice of bread.

  5. Serve:
    Slice in half and serve immediately, or wrap and chill for later.
