No-Oven Cheese Bread in 20 Minutes

Here’s a quick and easy No-Oven Cheese Bread recipe you can make in about 20 minutes—no oven needed!


No-Oven Cheese Bread (Stovetop)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)

  • 1/2 cup milk (or a bit more if needed)

  • 1 tbsp butter (plus extra for cooking)

  • Optional: herbs like oregano or chives for flavor

Instructions:

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and half of the grated cheese.

  2. Add Wet Ingredients:
    Pour in the milk and melted butter. Mix until you get a thick batter. If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk.

  3. Prepare Pan:
    Heat a non-stick skillet over low-medium heat and add a little butter to coat the surface.

  4. Cook the Bread:
    Pour the batter into the skillet and spread it out evenly to about 1-inch thickness.

  5. Add Cheese:
    Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and cover the skillet with a lid.

  6. Cook Covered:
    Let it cook on low heat for about 10-12 minutes until the bottom is golden and the cheese on top melts.

  7. Flip (Optional):
    Carefully flip the bread to cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes for extra golden crust (optional).

  8. Serve:
    Slice and enjoy warm!


Tip: You can add garlic powder, chili flakes, or fresh herbs to the batter for extra flavor.
