Posted on May 29, 2025

Here’s a simple and delicious milk and fruit dessert recipe that’s healthy, refreshing, and quick to make – no added sugar, no baking, just fresh goodness!

🍓 Chilled Milk & Fruit Pudding

🥣 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based like almond, oat, or soy)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder (for thickening)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, but recommended)

  • Mixed fresh fruits (e.g., banana, mango, berries, kiwi, apple – your choice!)

  • A pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional for extra flavor)

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Thicken the milk:

    • In a saucepan, mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of the milk until smooth.

    • Add the rest of the milk and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens (about 5–7 minutes).

    • Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract (if using).

    • Let it cool slightly, then pour into serving bowls or cups.

  2. Chill:

    • Refrigerate the milk base for 30–60 minutes until cool and set.

  3. Add fruit:

    • Chop your chosen fruits into small pieces.

    • Top the chilled milk pudding with the fruits just before serving.

  4. Optional toppings:

    • Sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon or nutmeg.

    • Garnish with mint leaves or crushed nuts for extra texture (if you like).

✅ Tips:

  • You can blend a bit of mango or banana into the milk mixture before chilling for a fruity-flavored pudding.

  • This recipe is great for kids and adults alike – naturally sweet and nutrient-rich.
