Chocolate Doughnuts Recipe
Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp vinegar/lemon juice)

2 large eggs

1/4 cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
For Chocolate Glaze (optional):

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp cocoa powder

2-3 tbsp milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:

Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. -
Mix Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. -
Combine:
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix; a few lumps are okay. -
Prepare for Frying:
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). -
Shape Doughnuts:
Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use a doughnut cutter or two round cutters (one large, one small) to cut doughnut shapes and holes. -
Fry:
