Posted on September 24, 2025

Here’s a  recipe for Mini Phyllo Cups with Brie, Pecans & Cranberry Drizzle—a perfect elegant appetizer that’s easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients:

  • Phyllo cups:

    • 1 package of mini phyllo tart shells (usually found in the freezer or refrigerated section)

  • Brie cheese:

    • About 8 oz Brie, cut into small cubes or slices (enough to fit into each mini cup)

  • Pecans:

    • 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped

    • Optional: Toasted for extra flavor

  • Cranberry sauce or cranberry drizzle:

    • 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)

    • OR cranberry reduction glaze (recipe below)

  • Honey or maple syrup: (optional, for extra sweetness)

    • 1-2 tbsp

  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional):

    • Small sprigs of thyme or rosemary

Cranberry Drizzle (optional glaze recipe):

  1. In a small saucepan, combine:

    • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

    • 1/4 cup sugar

    • 1/4 cup water

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  2. Simmer over medium heat until cranberries burst and sauce thickens (about 10-15 minutes).

  3. Strain to remove solids if you want a smooth glaze or leave chunky for texture.

  4. Cool before drizzling over the phyllo cups.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare Phyllo Cups:
Arrange the mini phyllo cups on a baking sheet.

  3. Add Brie:
Place a cube or slice of Brie inside each phyllo cup. You want enough to fill but not overflow.

  4. Add Pecans:
Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the Brie. If you want to toast pecans first, spread them on a baking sheet and toast for about 5 minutes at 350°F until fragrant.

  5. Bake:
Bake the filled cups in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the Brie is melted and bubbly.

  6. Add Cranberry Drizzle:
Once out of the oven, drizzle cranberry sauce or the cranberry glaze on top of each mini cup.

  7. Optional Touch:
Drizzle a little honey or maple syrup on top for extra sweetness. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired.

Serving:

  • Serve warm on a platter.

  • These are perfect for holiday parties, cocktail hours, or any special occasion.

Tips:

  • Brie rind is edible, so you don’t need to remove it unless you prefer to.

  • You can substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds if you like.

  • Mini phyllo cups can sometimes be fragile—handle gently to avoid breakage.
