🐟 Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

πŸ”₯ Ingredients:

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1–2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to heat preference)

  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)

For the Honey Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional for brightness)

  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)


🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Salmon:

    • Pat salmon dry.

    • Rub with olive oil, then season generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. Sear the Salmon:

    • Heat a large skillet (preferably cast iron or nonstick) over medium-high heat.

    • Add a bit of oil if needed.

    • Place salmon fillets skin-side down (or presentation-side first if skinless).

    • Cook 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the Honey Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

    • Add butter and let it melt.

    • Stir in garlic, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Add honey and lemon juice (if using). Stir until well combined and slightly thickened (1–2 minutes).

  4. Glaze the Salmon:

    • Return salmon to the skillet.

    • Spoon sauce over fillets and let simmer for another minute.

  5. Serve:

    • Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

    • Pair with rice, roasted veggies, or mashed potatoes.


πŸ’‘ Tips:

  • You can broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes if you want a caramelized top.

  • If your Cajun seasoning already has salt, adjust your additional salt accordingly.

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you want more heat.
