Here’s a  recipe for Hot Honey Feta Chicken — a delicious combination of spicy, sweet, and tangy flavors with creamy feta cheese. It’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or when you want something a bit special!


Hot Honey Feta Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6-8 oz each)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 oz feta cheese, crumbled

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1-2 tsp chili flakes (adjust based on your heat preference)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice for acidity)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Fresh parsley or oregano, chopped (for garnish)

  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Chicken:

  • Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.

  • Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

2. Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp of 165°F/74°C).

  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside on a plate.

3. Make the Hot Honey Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, lower heat to medium.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Stir in honey, chili flakes, and apple cider vinegar.

  • Let the sauce simmer gently for 1-2 minutes to combine and thicken slightly.

4. Combine and Finish:

  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet.

  • Spoon the hot honey sauce over the chicken.

  • Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese evenly on top.

  • Cover the skillet with a lid or foil for 1-2 minutes, allowing the feta to soften and warm slightly.

5. Garnish and Serve:

  • Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley or oregano over the chicken.

  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra citrusy kick.


Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve with a side of roasted vegetables, steamed rice, or a fresh salad.

  • Crusty bread is also great for soaking up the hot honey sauce.


Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, you can bake the chicken breasts in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes, then add the hot honey sauce and feta at the end.

  • Adjust the chili flakes depending on your preferred spice level.

  • You can also add a sprinkle of smoked paprika over the feta for extra smoky flavor.
