Here’s a recipe for making Apple Cheesecake Tacos — a sweet twist on the classic taco that combines creamy cheesecake, cinnamon-spiced apples, and crispy taco shells. Perfect for dessert or a special treat!


Apple Cheesecake Tacos Recipe

Ingredients:

For the taco shells:

  • 8 small flour tortillas (6-inch size)

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

For the cheesecake filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or whipped cream)

For the cinnamon-spiced apples:

  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well), peeled and diced

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Optional toppings:

  • Chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

  • Caramel sauce or honey drizzle

  • Extra whipped cream


Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the taco shells

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.

  3. Brush each tortilla lightly with melted butter on both sides.

  4. Sprinkle each side with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  5. To shape the tortillas into taco shells: Drape them over the bars of the oven rack or use an inverted muffin tin to create a taco shell shape.

  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

  7. Remove and let cool until firm.

Step 2: Make the cheesecake filling

  1. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.

  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined and creamy.

  4. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 3: Prepare the cinnamon-spiced apples

  1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 4: Assemble the tacos

  1. Spoon a generous amount of cheesecake filling into each taco shell.

  2. Top with the warm cinnamon-spiced apples.

  3. Add optional toppings like chopped nuts, caramel drizzle, or extra whipped cream if desired.

Step 5: Serve and enjoy!

  • Serve immediately for the best crunch and creaminess.
