Sweetened Condensed Milk Snowball Cookies
Ingredients:
-
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
-
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
-
2 tsp vanilla extract
-
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
-
½ tsp salt
-
1 cup finely chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds work best – optional)
-
1–1½ cups powdered sugar (for coating)
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
-
Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
-
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until incorporated. Don’t overmix.
-
Fold in chopped nuts, if using.
-
Scoop and shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the bottoms are just lightly golden. The tops should not brown.
-
Cool slightly, then roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Place on a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Roll in powdered sugar again once fully cooled for that classic snowball look.
